SPORTS FIELD TESTS
As the operator of a sports field or a sports facility, you are subject to the so-called traffic safety obligation, within the framework of which you must take precautions to protect third parties and are also responsible for the safety of the sports equipment used. This arises from various legal regulations such as Section 823 BGB (obligation to pay damages), Section 836 BGB (liability of the property owner), Section 839 BGB (liability in the event of a breach of official duty) or the Product Safety Act. In order to provide our customers with the best possible support with regard to the above requirements for sports field safety, since this year BEPA-Torfabrik has been offering the inspection of your sports field or your sports facility by our managing director Mr. Paul Bergmann, who, as a qualified sports field inspector, has the relevant requirements for the inspection your sports facility owns. In this context, we check the following parameters, for example: General safety of use (e.g. drainage, throwing and shot disciplines, etc.) Safety distances and obstacle-free spaces (e.g. masts, barriers, boards, etc.) Safety of the sports equipment used (e.g. anti-tilt protection for free-standing soccer goals) Safety of parking spaces for sports equipment and much more We assess the danger and risks on your sports field, divide them into different categories and give you recommendations for the creation of the necessary sports field safety so that your sports facility can be operated safely and as far as possible without liability risks. WHY THIS EXAM? AND WHAT DOES A SPORTS FIELD INSPECTOR ACTUALLY DO? Serious accidents at sports facilities regularly make the headlines. The number of unreported accidents is not unknown and mostly they remain without major consequences. However: The sensitivity to the subject of safety on sports fields is increasing among athletes, spectators and especially among parents who want to rule out any danger to their children. The increasing number of court judgments with which operators of sports facilities are held accountable, makes qualified testing of sports facilities necessary! The operator of a sports facility is responsible for traffic safety. This means: He has to make sure that the outdoor sports facility does not pose any danger to others. Municipalities, club boards, as well as referees, trainers and trainers can be held liable if the worst comes to the worst and sometimes be ordered to pay high compensation payments (obligation to pay damages).
